Refund and Cancellation Policy
Beracah International Theological Seminary (BITS) is committed to maintaining fair, transparent, and student-centered enrollment practices. This Refund and Cancellation Policy are established in accordance with applicable provisions of the Florida Statutes governing postsecondary educational institutions.
1. Student's Right to Cancel
A student has the right to cancel the Enrollment Agreement and receive a 100% refund of all tuition and fees paid if the cancellation is made within three (3) working days after signing the Enrollment Agreement.
The request for cancellation must be submitted in writing by email or by signed letter to the Office of the Registrar.
2. Withdrawal During the First Week of Class
A student who withdraws during the first week of classes is entitled to receive a full refund (100%) of all tuition and fees paid, regardless of whether classes have been attended.
3. Withdrawal After the First Week
Students who withdraw after the first week of classes may be eligible for a partial refund according to the following schedule:

| Before 50% of the course is completed | 50% |
| Before 75% of the course is completed | 25% |
| After 75% of the course is completed | No Refund |
Technology fees, graduation fees, application fees, transcript fees, and other non-refundable administrative charges are not refundable unless required by law.
4. Processing Refunds
BITS shall issue all approved refunds within thirty (30) calendar days after:
• the student's written withdrawal,
• the student's cancellation,
• or the official termination of enrollment.
Refunds will be made using the original method of payment whenever possible.
5. Administrative Withdrawal
Students who are administratively withdrawn because of academic misconduct, disciplinary violations, abandonment, or failure to meet institutional requirements remain subject to this refund policy unless otherwise required by law.
Effective Date
This policy is effective as of July 31, 2026, and applies to all current and future students enrolled at Beracah International Theological Seminary.
Student Complaints, Disciplinary Actions, and Appeals Policy
Student Complaint Procedure
Students who believe they have been treated unfairly or who wish to challenge an institutional decision may submit a formal complaint.
A complaint may concern:
• Academic matters
• Faculty conduct
• Administrative services
• Financial matters
• Student services
• Discrimination
• Harassment
• Institutional policy violations
Filing a Complaint
A written complaint must include:
• Student's name
• Student ID
• Date
• Detailed description of the complaint
• Supporting documentation
• Requested resolution
Complaints should be submitted to:
Office of Student Services
within 30 calendar days after the event giving rise to the complaint.
Institutional Review
Upon receipt of the complaint:
• acknowledgment will be sent within five (5) business days;
• an investigation will begin;
• the appropriate administrator may interview all parties;
• supporting documentation will be reviewed.
Decision
A written decision shall normally be issued within fifteen (15) business days after the investigation is completed.
Student Discipline Policy
Students are expected to demonstrate Christian character, academic integrity, honesty, respect, and ethical conduct.
Violations may include:
• Academic dishonesty
• Plagiarism
• Cheating
• Harassment
• Threats
• Disruptive behavior
• Falsification of records
• Misuse of institutional property
• Conduct inconsistent with the Seminary's Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct
Possible disciplinary sanctions include:
• Verbal Warning
• Written Warning
• Academic Probation
• Disciplinary Probation
• Suspension
• Dismissal
• Expulsion
Each disciplinary decision shall be documented in writing.
Appeals Policy
A student who disagrees with an academic or disciplinary decision may file an appeal.
Appeals must:
• be submitted in writing;
• explain the basis for the appeal;
• include supporting documentation;
• be filed within ten (10) business days after receiving the decision.
The Academic Appeals Committee shall review the appeal.
The Committee may:
• affirm the decision;
• modify the decision;
• reverse the decision;
• request additional information.
The Committee's written decision shall normally be issued within fifteen (15) business days.
The decision of the Appeals Committee shall be final.
Record Retention
BITS maintains records of complaints, disciplinary actions, investigations, and appeals in accordance with institutional policy.
